IPAM – Italian platform for alternative methods, was founded on May 8, 2003 by fourteen founding members belonging to four areas of interest:

• Government Institutions
• Industry
• Scientific world
• Animal welfare and animal welfare organizations

with the aim of promoting and disseminating the culture of the 3Rs, in its theoretical and applicative aspects, in scientific experimentation and in the regulatory field.
