The Spanish Network for the Development of Alternative Methods (REMA) is a platform that coordinates since 1999 in Spain the initiatives of the Industry, the Administration, the Society (animal protection, consumers) and the Scientific World to promote the development, regulatory validation, application and implementation of alternative methods to the use of laboratory animals.

REMA organizes, participates, supports and disseminates monographs, courses, meetings and scientific congresses related to the 3R: reduction, refinement and replacement of the use of animals in experimentation.

Rema disseminates information about alternatives through its website with updated news about alternatives (http://www.remanet.net), and social media @REMAlternativas.
