Winner of the ecopa award at ESTIV 2022
During Eurotox 2023 in Ljubljana, Estonia, the board of ecopa was proud to assign the ecopa award to Martina Iulini with an oral presentation titled “In vitro study of the effect of PFAS on the antibody production”.
Martina brilliantly presented her research results regarding the PFAS, an ubiquitous presence in the environment and together with their persistence, resulted in a worldwide contamination with a global distribution in living organisms. Her research was focused on the measure of the adverse effect of PFAS on the human immune system, demonstrating the reduction of specific antibody production even after low level exposure.
